Pelecyphora Aselliformis - Vase 7*7 cm

La Pelecyphora Aselliformis is a very distinctive cactus that takes its name from a Greek word meaning 'axe-bearing'. This plant genus comprises only two species, both of which are characterised by a globular body and long areolae enriched with very small, flat, soft spines. It is a slow-growing plant that is also not easy to cultivate. The flowering of this very special specimen occurs in spring, when beautiful pink to purple flowers bloom from its apex.
