Echinofossulocactus erectocentrus is a small globose cactus native to Mexico with a solitary habit. In the past, this species was included in the genera Echinocactus e Stenocactus. It has a  The stem is a beautiful bright green colour, slightly concave at the apex, and has many wavy ribs adorned with small white areoles. Its radial spines are small and white, while the central spines are larger, long, flat and yellowish in colour, darkening at the tips. The plant flowers during late autumn and manifests itself at the apex of the plant with small pink funnel-shaped flowers.
