Echinocereus Pectinatus Rubrispinus – Characteristics

L'Echinocereus pectinatus rubrispinus it's a kind of cactus belonging to the higher classification of Pachycereeae, has a globose or cylindrical stem, with a thickness between 7 and 10 cm, and from 12 to 23 ribs. Its areoles are green and with red-purple spines. During the beginning of summer it produces large funnel-shaped magenta flowers, green at the base and with a white throat. It reaches a height of about 8-35 cm.
