Tephrocactus – Online Sale

The name “Tephrocactus” derives from a Greek word meaning “ash”, and refers to its typical colour which tends to be greyish. It is a family that includes several species and all with various characteristics between them, especially as regards the thorns. In some cases, they can be robust and long, while in other cases even absent.

Instead, the feature they have in common is that which concerns the arrangement of the “blades”. These are the articles on which the plant develops, they tend to grow one on top of the other and when they reach at least three articles they begin to emerge on the tops of the showy flowers, large and with lively corollas. They are also very resistant to temperature changes.
