Opuntia Santa Rita – Characteristics
The Opuntia Santa Rita is a succulent Cactaceae widespread in the states of New Mexico, Texas and Arizona, and is highly appreciated due to its particular purple colour. In fact, the plant is a close relative of the classic prickly pear, very common in Mediterranean landscapes, and takes on this particular colour due to prolonged exposure to the sun’s rays. Under optimal conditions, it can grow up to 230-240 centimetres.
|Soil||Well draining, alkaline, neutral or acidic|
