Escobaria minima brewster – Characteristics

The Escobaria minima brewster is a small Cactaceae native to the desert areas of the state of Chihuahua, in Mexico, but there are also some specimens in some desert areas of the United States, in Brewster County (hence the name), Texas. They generally have a globular or cylindrical shape with a surface divided into tubercles covered with spines of different shapes and colours. The flowers that come out from the top of the plant during spring and summer, are magenta and funnel-shaped.
