Description

Copiapoa Montana – Characteristics

The “Copiapoa Montana” is a cylindrical Cactaceae plant with a rather slow growth that belongs to the Notocactaceae tribe. This cactus originates from the Atacama Desert in Chile and owes its name to the city of Copiapò. They generally have a slight depression in the apex and have ribs well defined by numerous rounded tubercles surrounded by many small fluffy areoles. Many short and thin grey-white thorns emerge from its areoles and during the flowering period they generate beautiful flowers with intense yellow colour.
