Copiapoa Cinerea – Characteristics

The Copiapoa Cinerea is a small Cactaceae plant native to the dry coastal deserts, particularly the Atacama Desert, in Northern Chile with a globular habit that tends to become columnar in adulthood. Its stem colour is green-brown and has a waxy layer that allows the plant not to dry out. Its stem also has tubercles with downy areoles with blackthorns emerging from them.
