Coltivazione e cura della pianta:
- They need a lot of light during all seasons, but direct sun rays must be avoided during the hottest hours of the day, especially when the plants are still young. They prefer mild temperatures and never below 4°C, which is why they should be placed in sheltered places during the winter.
- The soil must be draining and rich in minerals, to which some pumice can be added. It does not require frequent fertilization but it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year
- Water in moderation and only when the soil is completely dry once every two weeks in spring and summer, once a month in autumn, and suspend completely in winter.

Astrophytum Capricorne Crassispinum – Characteristics
This Astrophytum Capricorne Crassispinum is a Cactaceae with a characteristic globular shape that becomes columnar over time. Its green stem is devoid of the common fluffy white spots and it has well-marked ribs with a thin margin. Its areoles are downy and yellowish-white in colour from which protrude long twisted grey-pinstripe spines, very similar to Capricorn horns, hence the name ‘Capricorne’. The flowering of this Astrophytum occurs during the summer with large funnel-shaped inflorescences of yellow colour with a red interior that emerges from its apex.
